BCS Officials Finalize Plans for a 2-team playoff bracket.
With the pressure for a bracket playoff building and building the need for one over the last few weeks, the BCS officials have decided to give in to the pressure to make a playoff bracket by deciding to make a 2-Team playoff bracket. This bracket could happen as soon as next year if they feel it needs to be the answer for next year.
"It isn't what people wanted, but it is a compromise." Georgia Bulldogs Head Coach Said. "I am good with us finally having a playoff in the NCAAF. It is finally going to look like a competetive contest of what is better: the NCAA Basketball Bracket or the BCS bracket."
The details of the bracket willl still be made by the BCS computer. And There will also be no bye rounds for first round teams.
"When I heard this I was really pissed." Said Ohio State Head Coach Jim Tressel. "I mean to say we don't get a bye in that 2 team playoff means we have to play an extra game in the playoff. I am not that happy with the BCS Playoff becuase our team will be as tired as the other teams."
To sum it up LSU head coach Les Miles said "This was a very fair compromise. We get our playoff. They still get to use their computers. Not exactly a 4 or 8 team playoff but it still is a very good compromise for us college football coaches."
